It takes days to take in all that Orlando has to offer. When ready, other attractions lie in wait. To hire a car and make the trip down south to Miami for the pulsating night life. Or make the shorter drive to the Gulf beaches of Sarasota and Bradenton. You would be hard pressed to find better beaches than on Florida’s Gulf coast. And once you are there, lounging in the hot sun, having forgotten all about your everyday life, you can from a long list of fun things to do. Parasailing, Jet-skiing, deep sea fishing, snorkeling….even a trip to the supermarket is fun and eventful in this part of the world. And some of the very best restaurants are here as well. Hemingways and Tommy Bahamas in Sarasota spring to mind.

  • Your flight to Orlando with Icelandair arrives at Orlando Sanford International Airport located about 18 miles northeast of downtown Orlando.
  • Orlando has good public transportation but most tourists rent a car.
  • If you plan to go to the mall or a theme park, expect such trip to take most of the day. Florida takes a lot of driving.
