Quincy, MA, February 24, 2010 – As Icelandair gears up for the launch of their seasonal service from Washington, D.C. on May 17, 2011, plans for further expansion have already been confirmed. Earlier this year Icelandair announced additional Wednesday flights starting July 13, 2011, offering passengers service from Dulles International 5 days a week through July 27, 2011. Seasonal service originally scheduled through September will now operate with 4 flights a week through October 16, 2011.

The expanded flight season will give Washington, D.C. passengers the opportunity to catch the many fall events that take place in Iceland, including the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival in October, featuring some of the hottest musical acts from around the globe.
