Quincy, MA, January 31, 2010 – Icelandair will be holding The Last Bostonian Skating, a very special event to benefit the Special Children Travel Fund and The Children’s Hospital Boston. The Last Bostonian Skating will be held at Kendall Square Community Ice Skating Rink on March 5, 2011 and promises to offer a fun time for all. To start the journey to find The Last Bostonian Skating, Icelandair is sending a call for all adventure seekers or creative thinkers to be a part of this truly unique skating event. The registration period to participate is live from January 31, 2011 until February 14th, 2011.
Five teams will compete in a series of trials, testing endurance, speed, showmanship, and creativity in the ultimate quest to win a trip to Iceland, while helping to raise money and awareness for a greater cause. No need to worry if you are not ready for the Olympics; limited skating experience is actually encouraged.
