Important : If you are arriving in Iceland on an evening flight from North America, this tour is NOT recommended for your arrival day. Passengers usually arrive at their hotel around 8am. Any delays could cause you to miss the tour departure. Icelandair cannot reimburse passengers for unused portions of a package or land only travel once travel starts.
Step back in time and discover the landscapes of the thrilling, world-famous Viking Sagas. Head along the scenic western coast en route to Borgarnes village, site of the new Icelandic Settlement Center. Discover legends of exciting Viking Saga heroes such as Skallagrimur and his controversial son, the warrior-poet Egill and more tales of the brave Vikings who settled Iceland in the 9th century. Afterwards, head along the Western Iceland's Saga Trail, visiting the regions and settings of West Iceland that were the backdrops for these legends. You'll also see plenty of Icelands famous nature such as the Lava Falls, the powerful Deildartunguhver hot springs and Reykholt, historical home of one of the Saga Chieftan, Snorri Sturluson. Includes admission to both museums.
