Passengers usually arrive at their hotel around 8am. Any delays could cause you to miss the tour departure. Hotel pickup starts about 8:15am and 12:15pm.
Board a sturdy sailing vessel, (either the Elding, Elding II or Hafsulan) for a trip from Reykjavik Harbor to look for whales. Whales most frequently seen are Minkes, Orcas, Humpback, Dolphins and Porpoises. You may also spot seabirds such as puffins and gannets. This is a great idea for an arrival day trip.
The 1:00pm tour is a great first day tour for those arriving from North America.
Note: Whale watching sightings are not guaranteed
Please keep in mind that the weather can change rapidly in Iceland and therefore the captain could decide to cancel the tour on short notice for safety reasons. In that case the Whale watching company will do its best to let the guests know as much in advance as possible. They also will help the guests to find another time to go on the tour and/or help them make other arrangements. If the guests are not able to join the tour later, the tour is non refundable as it is a free tour to the passenger.
Please note that this tour will not pick up passengers at hotels outside of Reykjavik.
