Iceland Airwaves 2013

Festival Dates: Oct 30 - November 3, 2013

Every Autumn, Reykjavik rocks a little louder!  Hear the hottest bands from Iceland, Europe, the Americas and beyond in the coolest setting on Earth.  The intimate venues are all in the downtown area, so you can hop from one performance to the next.  Please note that passengers under 20 years old cannot attend the festival events.

The Airwaves event planners are now pleased to announce that electronic pioneers and the most influential band of their genre, Kraftwerk, will close Iceland Airwaves 2013!

Kraftwerk will perform their groundbreaking masterworks in 3D on Sunday, November 3^rd.  This show will be included in the Iceland Airwaves ticket price.  Only Iceland Airwaves wristband holders have the chance to get into the show. Tickets will be handed out to wristband holders on a “first come, first served” basis on Friday, November 1 at 4:00pm at Harpa.  More details will be provided on icelandairwaves.com as information becomes available. 

Passengers who have purchased an Icelandair Airwaves Festival package and are returning to North America on November 3rd can opt to extend their stay and take the next scheduled return flight to their gateway.  Icelandair will waive its usual change fee in this case.  Passengers will need to arrange for their own accommodations for the extra nights.  They will also need to pay any fare differences incurred from changing the return travel date.

Kraftwerk update (May 2, 2013):  Kraftwerk has announced they will perform an additional concert on Monday, Nov 4 2013, in Harpa. Kraftwerk will perform from their groundbreaking catalogue with full 3-D visuals.  The show starts at 8:30pm  and doors to Eldborg hall open at 7:30pm.  This concert is not included in the Airwaves pass.
