(Formerly the Hotel Loftleidir)  Completely renovated, the Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura embodies the spirt of Reykjavik, the city that is next door to nature.  The Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura  guarantees early check in to travelers arriving on overnight flights from North America arriving Sep 1 - May 31. The hotel offers 220 rooms, including 74 newly renovated standard rooms. Its rooms feature private bath/shower with hair dryer, telephone, radio, and satellite TV. Internet access available (purchased in Iceland) Many of the rooms will be theme based with natural elements of Iceland, meaning that you can now choose between a stay in moss, glacier, northern-lights, volcano, geothermal and natural water rooms.  The flora of Iceland plays a big part in the decoration of these rooms, beautiful drawings by Eggert Petursson, one of Iceland’s most distinguished artists, will play a major role.

The newly refurbished lobby area welcomes guests with a vivid video installation showcasing some magnificent scenes of some of the most precious natural elements of Iceland.

The Soley Nature Spa, is a high class facility featuring Iceland's only  indoor hotel geothermal swimming pool, Finnish saunas, changing rooms, fitness facilities, spa treatments, a beauty salon and a hair dresser.  Guests receive a discount to the spa facilities.  New outdoor trails are being developed where guests can enjoy the beautiful lava and seacoast  landscapes around the hotel, enhancing our unique proximity to Reykjavik’s wooded areas of Oskjuhlid Hill where you will find beautiful walking paths, a man made geyser,   and the famous Pearl with its revolving restaurant, balcony with panoramic views over Reykjavik and an interesting Saga Viking History wax museum.

The Natura is located next to Reykjavik landmark "the Pearl" and its surrounding woods and pleasant walking/cycling paths, and just a short walk from Nautholsvik thermal beach, where you can take a dip in a warmed lagoon of the North Atlantic, try some sea kayaking, or simply soak in a relaxing thermal hot tub (activities operate May - Aug).  The hotel also overlooks the nearby mountains and sea, as well as the city’s small domestic airport; spotting propeller planes as they come in to land is very popular with our younger guests! The hotel is close  (yet just far enough, many say!) to the excitement of Reykjavik’s historical city center. It takes less than 30 minutes by foot to reach this area; hotel offers free city bus passes for guests to visit the Old Town section.  The bus stop is located close to the hotel.
