Day 1: Departure from North America. Complimentary snacks, soft drinks, pillows and in-seat entertainment system during flight. Meals, alcoholic beverages, headsets and blankets available for purchase.
Day 2: Early morning arrival in Iceland. Fly Bus transfer to Icelandair Hotel Loftleidir where there is guaranteed early check in from 9am. Maybe you will relax in the hotel's indoor swimming pool and sauna (included in hotel stay) and arrange for a foot massage in the Chinese Foot Massage Salon. If you are in the hotel during November and December you might indulge in the tasty Christmas buffet at the Lonid Restaurant. (No meals today)
Day 3: Today is a pamper day! On your own transfer to Laugar Spa, located in the Laugardalur Valley, Reykjavik's recreation and rejuvenation area. Indulge both body and soul in six different saunas and steam rooms, each with its own aromatherapy and atmosphere. Try out Jacuzzis with hot and cold subterranean sea water. Last but not least enjoy the relaxation room equipped with comfortable chairs and a centrally located fireplace. Maybe this evening you might try out a tour to hunt for Northern Lights.
Day 4: The day is open for shopping and sightseeing. Now that you know more about Christmas traditions, this is a good opportunity to get Icelandic Christmas decorations and treats and crafts to bring back to friends and family. You also might want to get out into the beautiful winter countryside on a motorcoach sightseeing tour. Or try an invigorating outdoor activity like horseback riding or caving or even taking a walk along a glacier.
Day 5: Breakfast at hotel. 10:30am departure to the world famous Blue Lagoon. This is an ideal way to soothe and refresh your body and soul in the geothermal mineral waters before heading to your airport for your return flight. During your Blue Lagoon visit, you will be pampered with a relaxing ten minute massage while you rest comfortably in the healing waters. Afterwards you might relax with a delicious meal at the excellent Lava Restaurant overlooking the Lagoon. Complimentary snacks, soft drinks and in-seat entertainment system during flight. Meals, alcoholic beverages, headsets, pillows and blankets available for purchase.
