Day 1
Evening departure from North America

Day 2
Early morning arrival in Iceland. Use the Flybus transfer service information from your confirmation to take the Flybus airport bus to Reykjavik. Once you have arrived in the city, the remainder of your day is open for your own activities. For a very Icelandic way to shake off the jetlag, we suggest a visit to one of the local geothermal pools! You might also explore Old Town Reykjavik, a prime location for charming buildings, cafes and museums, or a walk to the nearby Pearl attraction for a great view overlooking the city. We highly recommend trying one of the many day & afternoon tours available for booking such as whale watching, horseback riding or a culinary walking tour, just to name a few.

Day 3
Start the morning with a Scandinavian buffet breakfast, included as part of your hotel stay. Then the departure for your tour, which runs about 11-12 hours, commences from your hotel with pick-up at 11:30am. This is a tour that combines the famous Golden Circle with a visit to a geothermal spa for hot spring bathing, dinner, and a chance to enjoy the natural magic of the northern lights! The first part of this tour is devoted to the viewing of landscape and nature on the Golden Circle route, which begins with the nature and history of the old Viking parliament at Thingvellir National Park. Next, the tour heads to the Haukadalur area, the home of the great Geysir and the reliable Strokkur that erupts with 3 to 7 minutes intervals, spouting hot water up as high as 49 - 99 feet (15 - 30m).  Following Geysir you'll experience the wonder of the magnificent Gullfoss where you will surely enjoy the sight of it cascading down the white colored Hvíta River.

After enjoying these jewels of Icelandic nature it is time to experience Iceland’s geothermal power in another way with a visit to Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal Baths and its natural steam baths and open air hot pools. Relaxing at this fountain of wellness will surely stir up an appetite, so nourish your body with a dinner at the local restaurant Lindin, known for its award-winning, delicious chocolate mousse, and whose chef is a member of the Icelandic National Culinary Team. After a delicious dinner made with ingredients from Icelandic nature, it's time to start a search for the spectacular Aurora Borealis, or northern lights (sightings not guaranteed). Please remember the northern lights are a natural phenomenon and weather dependent, and thus sightings are not guaranteed. The best weather conditions for seeing the northern lights are cold, clear nights. The tour will wind its way back to Reykjavik with a return around midnight, but always on the lookout for those mysterious lights of the winter sky!

Day 4
After breakfast, the day and evening open for your own activities. Perhaps you'll want to take on a different side of Iceland with an adventerous visit to the South Shore, or there are also many rewarding experiences like hiking, snowmobiling, caving and snorkeling or even something completely different like a cooking class or helicopter sightseeing. Check out our Tours & Add-ons to book any one of the many exciting day adventures available to you.

Day 5
Head down for breakfast and then head out for one final morning in the city, which is open for your own activities. Then, use the Flybus airport transfer voucher from your Booking Confirmation to transfer to Keflavik airport for your late afternoon departure to North America.
