First , enjoy the nature and history of the old Viking parliament at Thingvellir National Park. Next , the tour heads to the Haukadalur area, the home of the great Geysir and the reliable Strokkur that erupts with 3 to 7 minutes intervals, spouting hot water up as high as 49 - 99 feet (15 - 30m). The magnificent Gullfoss is not far away and you will surely enjoy the sight of it cascading down the white colored HvítaRiver.

After enjoying these jewels of Icelandic nature it is time to experience Iceland’s geothermal power in another way with a visit to Laugarvatn Fontana spa with its natural steam baths and open air hot pools. Relaxing at this fountain of wellness will surely stir up an appetite.   Nourish your body with a dinner at the local restaurant Lindin, known for its award-winning, delicious chocolate mousse.  The chef is a member of  the Icelandic National Culinary Team.  After a delicious dinner made from ingredients from Icelandic nature, it's time to  start a search for the spectacular Aurora Borealis (sightings not guaranteed).   The tour will wind its way back to Reykjavik,  always on the lookout for those mysterious lights of the winter sky!

Tour is about 11- 12 hours.  Return to Reykjavik around midnight.

Day 4:  Day open for your own activities.  Perhaps you'll visit the spa and have a soothing soak in the geothermal waters.  (Admission pass for spa given at check in).  Maybe you'll explore local galleries and museums in the city.  Or take an invigorating horseback ride in beautiful lava field surroundings.   In the evening enjoy dinner at one of the city's many excellent restaurants (on your own).
