Day 1: Evening departure from a selected Icelandair gateway in North America to Reykjavik.

Day 2:After early morning arrival in Iceland, you’ll need to make your own way to your selected hotel.  We recommend purchasing the FlyBus Plus transfers, which drop you off directly at the hotel.   These tickets can be purchased online or in the Keflavik Airport arrivals hall for about $45 per person. Check-in at hotel and free arrival breakfast. The rest of the day is open for you to enjoy your own activities.  We recommend a visit to one of Reykjavik’s geothermal swimming pools.  It is a wonderful way to shake off jet lag.

Day 3: Start the day with a buffet breakfast at the hotel. Be in the hotel lobby by 8:30am for the pick up on your tour.     Hop into an authentic Land Rover (or similar Super Jeep)  that has been specially-outfitted for taking Iceland’s uniquely rugged landscapes.   (Five to seven passengers per vehicle with driver guide).   From Reykjavik head east towards the Volcano of Eyjafjallajokull. There,  turn inland in the direction of Thorsmork wilderness area and head all the way up to Gígjokull and outlet glacier that falls down from the Eyjafjallajokull Crater. Here you will  see the impact of the 2010 eruption on this glacier. Next the group visits Seljalandsfoss waterfall where the brave participants can venture behind the cascading water! Stop for a hearty bowl of  Icelandic meat soup  at the historical Hotel Anna's restaurant.  (Vegetarian lunch soup options available).

Now the SuperJeeps head down to the black sand beaches for a 4x4 drive to enjoy the beauty and power of the North Atlantic Ocean. Continuing east,  visit the impressive waterfall of Skogarfoss before coming to Solheimajokull glacier where you will go for a Blue Ice Glacier Walk (90 minutes ice hiking). Discover all kinds of ice formations and the different colors of glacier ice. Total day tour lasts about 9 - 11 hours.

If you are a nightlife aficionado, you should enjoy Reykjavik’s famous club scene (best enjoyed on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays)

Day 4: Start the day with a buffet breakfast at the hotel, after the day is open for your own adventure.  Maybe you’ll consider a tour to enjoy an exciting activity such as visiting an Icelandic cave.  Or maybe you’ll visit the fabled Golden Circle region and relax at the lovely Fontana steam baths.   Other interesting activities might include scenic whalewatching or a historical walking tour of Reykjavik.

Day 5:
Start the day with a buffet breakfast at the hotel, after the day is open for your own adventure, with a late afternoon departure to North America.  Perhaps you might visit the world-famous Blue Lagoon and its soothing mineral hot springs  or the lovely seaside restaurant Vitinn before being dropped off at the nearby Keflavik airport.
