The Diamond Circle tour is an unforgettable experience to some of Iceland´s natural wonders.
You'll first visit the charming fishing village of Húsavík before witnessing the landscape and power of nature at Asbyrgi, a huge horseshoe shaped depression created by catastrophic glacial bursts between 2000 – 7000 years ago. Next, Dettifoss and Mývatn will take your breath away, much of which was formed by eruptions and devastating floods thousands of years ago. Dettifoss waterfall, more then 100 meters wide and 44 meters high, is believed to be the most powerful in Europe and appeared in the 2012 Ridley Scott movie 'Prometheus.' From Dettifoss you'll make your way to Hverir with its bubbling mud pits and hot springs, followed by a short drive to lake Mývatn and the Mývatn Nature Baths where you'll enjoy some time to wind-down and relax in the lagoon along with some light refreshments.
Weather changes fast in Iceland, so be well dressed in layers with a warm hat and gloves, good shoes (shoe spikes are encouraged) and your best coat is always recommended.
